Analytics engineer · physics-trained · building toward ML for remote sensing
During the workday, I build production data systems end to end: ingestion, warehouse, modeling, testing, and the monitoring that keeps them reliable. I’m usually handed an open-ended question, asked whether it’s possible, and expected to come back with either a working prototype or a clear reason it won’t work along with ideas for how to pivot. I also design and implement governance frameworks that ensure there is only ever one version of the truth.
I’m a physics-trained data scientist. My undergraduate research was in constrained clustering, implementing a k-means variant from scratch when the off-the-shelf algorithm couldn’t express the constraints the problem actually had. I want statistical modeling and applied math to be part of my day to day job, rather than something I do in my spare time. I’d like to get back to that kind of work, now with computer vision, applied to problems like remote sensing and scientific imagery.
